Spring Break

I finally got my Spring Break!!! Well a make-shift one anyway. I finished up with finals last Wednesday signifying the end of a long and hard Winter Semester. Thus far the results are satisfactory but seeing as how only one of my teachers has posted my grade.. things could definitely change. Sadly on my first night of freedom Woody had to work so I watched TV, painted my toe nails and played Mario Kart :) The next couple of days were pure bliss I would work in the morning and then hang out with Woody all day!! We spent most of our afternoons outside on a blanket reading books. I managed to finish the Hunger Games and the sequel to it, and a book that I borrowed from Heather and Dear John hahaha I read pretty fast.

But I would definitely suggest The Hunger Games as a book to read. It was really really sad and sometimes I almost stopped. I had to wait to read the book until after Woody was done because he started while I was studying for finals.. he loved to rub the fact that he read the book before me in my face. He thinks he's so funny But I read the second book before he was done. He hasn't let me read it since it's he is so last night while Woody was at work I read it front to cover -- I was supposed to be packing... ooopss It's better than the first!! I really liked it

Woody and I also went out to dinner on Saturday to a delicious Chinese restaurant and saw the movie The Last Song which I cried my eyes out cuz I had no idea it was a sad movie. We watched us some Jazz Games and they are now 3-1 in the series and only need on more win!! Lets go Jazz!!
You just have to love Boozer's enthusiasm!!

Sadly I am not back to work and school. I loved being able to spend time with Woody without having any assignments hanging over my head and cannot wait for this semester to be over so I can have me some summer time!!

5 months down eternity to go

Woody and I have been married for 5 months today! Yippee!! It is pretty crazy because as I think about it I feel like it has gone by so fast, but at the same time it feels like we've always been married - weird how things like that happen. These 5 months have definitely been the best of my life (really truly cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye!) Woody is the best husband a girl could ask for and I am grateful for all he does for me and all he puts up with :)

Some things that I have learned:
1. I am now fully aware of my inability to close cupboards and drawers, I am officially in rehab and doing much better at this.
2. Woody wakes up slow - it's pretty cute to watch him wake up in the morning, he's definitely not a "get up and jump out of bed" type of guy
3. There are many ways to be connected to sports, numerous channels on the TV, multiple websites that need to checked, newspaper articles the next day, and of course instant updates on Woody's itouch
4. I can now officially drive a manual, I still need to test this but hopefully I can now drive it without making Heather want to relieve her stomach of all it's contents
5. Woody is a baby hog (which I think is cute)
6. Memo (a player on the Jazz) reminds me of a Teddy Bear, and if I were to meet anyone on the Jazz it'd be him
7. I'm actually not a bad cook, just not creative and need experience (hopefully this is true ask Woody)
8. Woody likes Pirates - I used to think he didn't because he didn't ever let me watch it, but now I know it is just because he thinks I have watched it too much
9. Woody hates TV. He cannot stand commercials except for during a Basketball game of course
10. I have to be touching Woody while I sleep, even if it's just my hand on his back... he always teases me when he wakes up (on the rare occasions that I'm still there) that I make him sleep on the very end of the bed every night... but if he would just sleep next to me in the first place I would not have to keep scooting over!!
11. I love when Woody and I get up at the same time even if its at 7:00 a.m. it's so much harder to get up when he gets to stay in bed
12. Money does not grow on trees and there are always things to pay for (bills, food, hospital etc.)
13. If your husband calls you 3 times (and you keep ignoring it) answer the stupid phone
14. I don't do homework if Woody doesn't have homework
15. Sleeping in a hospital STINKS (thank you mommy for staying with me the week I had my appendix out!!!)
16. I can usually fall asleep better while watching movies then when it's time to go to bed
17. Fun Fetti Cookies are divine
18. Woody misses me when I leave :)
19. Woody is a big softie at heart
20. It is impossible for us to decide where to eat or what movie to watch (we fight over who HAS to decide not who gets to)

And many more things but I figure everybody probably stopped reading around.. O I dunno... 2?

But in case anyone is still interested I have some updates:

1. Woody is starting to put some weight on his foot, a little more everyday!! Yay!
2. I am almost done with school (one more final to go)
3. We are moving in two weeks down to Provo (thank heavens no more long drive!!)
4. I turn 21 in 70 days (I got that off of a twilight countdown hahaha)

Time to get back to studying... boo!!!

O Obama

There are not words to describe how sad I am right now I was reading an article about Mr. Obama and his newest action when I came across this statement:

"The General Accounting Office has identified 1,138 instances in federal law where marriage is important," said one gay rights activist, who spoke on the condition of anonymity before the White House formally announced the directive. "We've knocked off one of them."

Article:
Obama

Does it even matter what Mr. Obama has now made legal?... the point is that he is supporting the attack of the family. Our President supports this goal, how truly sad is that.

I am so grateful for the Prophets and Apostles and for their clear vision of what is truly important
"The family is ordained of God."
If only President Obama would heed their warnings and their promptings..
"We call upon responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society."
- The Family: A Proclomation to the World

If only he knew, if only all of the citizens of the United States knew, that without the family our society will fail.

I believe it's time for a new president

What a Morning

I had a very interesting morning this morning. I had work in the morning so I woke up and was getting ready when I realized that Woody would not have to go anywhere while I was at work, so I decided I wanted to take my car, Ravioli today! So when I woke up Woody to kiss him goodbye I asked him if I had any gas, and I had about a quarter left, I could have taken it but I didn't want to fill up so I decided just to take Woody's.

Unfortunately, I have always had difficulty changing Woody's air (from hot to cold vice versa). It was chilly this morning so I was wanting some hot air.. and it would not turn for me!! It was such a little stubborn guy. Sometimes it just needs a little extra force, so I applied said force and.... I broke it. Aw great I thought no I will have no hot air AND I have to tell Woody that I broke his car.

I continued my flipping long journey from home to work thinking "shoot, shoot, shoot, I broke the turny dial thingy". When all of a sudden this car comes by me starts honking at me and points at my back tire.
Crap.
So luckily we were right by an exit I pull of and as soon as I am off the freeway out pops my tire!!! I had a blow out!!

Luckily it was a nice couple from Provo that were on their way home from going to the Timpanogos Temple, dressed in their sunday best. But the guy was nice enough to start to change my tire, and after that some highway man came and finished it for him.

I am so grateful that my Heavenly Father was looking out for me, and that the couple decided to go all the way out to American Fork (so stinking early!!) to go to the temple, that they saw my car smoking (yikes) and pulled over and helped me change my tire.

Luckily, I have such a sweet husband who did not get mad at me for breaking the air turny dial thingy (it might have something to do with I first told him the tire blew out) but never-the-less he is the best. He never gets mad at me (which sometimes he probably should) and is the quickest at forgiving and forgetting, I definitely needed to marry someone as calm as my Woody!!

I guess I just should have taken Ravioli and filled her up.. o well

AND
I forgot my ring today I HATE it when I forget my ring.. my finger is naked!!!

I have an odd craving for chocolate milk and perhaps a doughnut on the side...weird

Robin Hood 702

I found this article today about a guy who goes to Las Vegas, gambles, wins lots of money AND THEN................................
gives it away to those in need!!! The first family he gave to had a little girl who had brain cancer and were swimming in medical bills(darn medical bills) and he says his next family will be from Las Vegas.. How cool is that, guess there is some charity left in the world today. It is a short article, but if you want to check it out it's on MSN's home page.. I tried to provide a link but the computer is smarter than I am.

My First Love....

Captain Jack Sparrow is definitely my first love. When Pirates came out I was obsessed and I would seriously watch the movie every Friday afternoon after getting home from working at my dad's office. And then it turned into my movie to watch whenever I was sick, it's my comfort movie. I haven't watched it in a really long time because Wood says I've seen it way too much, but I must have done something right because the other night he let us watch it!!! And I honestly forgot how much I stinking LOVE this movie especially Jack.. he's the best better than Will Turner in my opinion, and I actually have a poster of Will and a painting of Jack... so cool

Here are some quotes from the first movie oh how I love it...

Enjoy!

Mr. Gibbs: Then, on the fourth day, he roped himself a couple of sea turtles, lashed 'em together and made a raft.
Will Turner: He roped a couple of sea turtles.
Mr. Gibbs: Aye. Sea turtles.
Will Turner: What did he use for rope?
Jack Sparrow: Human hair.
[pause]
Jack Sparrow: From my back

Jack Sparrow: Move away.
Will Turner: No.
Jack Sparrow: Please move?

Will Turner: Where's Elizabeth?
Jack Sparrow: She's safe, just like I promised. She's all set to marry Norrington, just like she promised. And you get to die for her, just like you promised. So we're all men of our word really... except for, of course, Elizabeth, who is in fact, a woman.

Pintel: Your'e supposed to be dead!
Jack Sparrow: Am I not?

Norrington: No additional shot nor powder, a compass that doesn't point north,
[looks at Jack's sword]
Norrington: And I half expected it to be made of wood. You are without doubt the worst pirate I've ever heard of.
Jack Sparrow: But you have heard of me

Barbossa: Why thank ye, Jack.
Jack Sparrow: You're welcome.
Barbossa: Oh, not you. We named the monkey Jack.

Jack Sparrow: Do us a favor... I know it's difficult for you... but please, stay here, and try not to do anything... stupid.

Jack Sparrow: Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.

Will Turner: This is either madness... or brilliance.
Jack Sparrow: It's remarkable how often those two traits coincide.

Jack Sparrow: One question about your business, boy, or there's no use going: This girl... how far are you willing to go to save her?
Will Turner: I'd die for her.
Jack Sparrow: Oh good. No worries then.

Jack Sparrow: Parleley, parlelellyleloooo, par le nee, partner, par... snip, parsley...
Ragetti: Parley?
Jack Sparrow: That's the one. Parley. Parley.
Pintel: Parley? Damn to the depths whatever man what thought of "Parley".
Jack Sparrow: That would be the French

Mullroy: What's your purpose in Port Royal, Mr. Smith?
Murtogg: Yeah, and no lies.
Jack Sparrow: Well, then, I confess, it is my intention to commandeer one of these ships, pick up a crew in Tortuga, raid, pillage, plunder and otherwise pilfer my weasely black guts out.
Murtogg: I said no lies.
Mullroy: I think he's telling the truth.
Murtogg: If he were telling the truth, he wouldn't have told us.
Jack Sparrow: Unless, of course, he knew you wouldn't believe the truth even if he told it to you.
